Bevan loves his little brother.
Besides shouting when Berton is asleep, kicking when Berton is just nearby, whenever Berton cries, Bevan shouts "Mommy, Baby, Didi!" until I pay attention to Berton. Smiles when Berton stops crying. Every night Bevan asks to carry Berton, and amazingly he is willing to listen to our condition and actually SITS STILL so as to carry Berton. When Berton is in his arms, Bevan points at his toes, touch his head, chest and tummy. All so gentle that I didn't know he is capable of. He kisses Berton, and asks Berton to kiss him. He claps and cheers for Berton when Berton finishes his milk.
Berton, in return, stares at Bevan with respect (I think).
They sleep, wake up, drink milk together.
This is the kind of siblinghood I dream of long for and lack of. Its okay. My kids are having it all so sweetly now. I hope they love and support each other. Forever is a big word. But yes, forever.
